Our story
It started with a box for a mother who never bought anything for herself.

Why Earnest
Gifts that know the person.
Most wellness gifts are built for everyone, which is to say no one. A candle, a bath bomb, a tiny lotion you'll never finish. We wanted to make the opposite: a box composed around a single person — how their days actually go, what they'd love more of, what to leave out.
Earnest started as a gift for one of our mothers. She'd spent thirty years looking after other people and had never once bought herself a decent sleep mask. The first box was a weighted linen mask, a tin of chamomile, a pair of merino socks, and a card that said take the hour. She still has the socks.
Today, every Earnest box is still composed that way: four to six full-size pieces from makers we know by name, chosen for the person, wrapped by hand, with your words on top. Give it once, or make it something they look forward to — monthly, quarterly, or every year on the same date.
Our makers
Small studios, named on every piece.
We don't white-label. Each product carries the name of the studio that made it, and we only work with people whose things we'd keep.
Earnest Atelier
Linen, merino and paper goods
Our own line of soft goods: the sleep mask, merino socks and linen journal. Made in small batches in family-run mills.
Fieldnote Botanicals
Skincare & pillow mist
A small formulation studio that works fragrance-first-then-decides-against-it. Most of their formulas are unscented by design.
Hollow & Hearth
Tea, candles, bath
Hand-poured candles in stoneware you'll keep, blended teas, and the mineral soak that started half our team's bath habit.
Still Studio
Ceramics, stone & wood
The gua sha, the tumbler, the body brush. Objects meant to be used daily and kept for years.
Makers and products shown in this prototype are illustrative — stand-ins for the kind of partners Earnest intends to work with, not confirmed suppliers.

What we won't do
Honest about wellness.
- We don't make medical claims. Our products are for comfort, rest and small daily rituals — not to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything.
- We don't include samples. If it's in the box, it's full-size.
- We don't hide the cadence. Every subscription shows its schedule before you buy and can be paused or cancelled anytime.
- We don't put prices in the box. Ever.
